Welcome to our outings for 2025 where we hope we have included something to interest everyone.   As we all know the cost of living has gone up somewhat but we have kept the costs as low as possible and they all include a lunch. 

​

Christmas Lunch at the Inn on the Lake,  Gravesend - 2 December - £60 per head.

​

An afternoon of festive fun and live entertainment by one of Kents most popular Ceilidh bands, Wolf's Head and Vixen Morris with painted faces top hats and feathers.  Bar opens at 11.15am , lunch at 12.00pm,  1st half of show at 1.00pm followed by second half of show and dessert from 2.00pm.   Afternoon ends about 3.15pm.

BRICK LANE MUSIC HALL – THE BEST OF BRITISH MUSIC HALL AND VARIETY

WEDNESDAY 23rd APRIL   COST £58

 

An afternoon matinee with traditional afternoon tea.  The show starts at 2.00 p.m., tea is served during the interval, and ends at approximately 5.00 p.m.

The coach will leave Upminster at approximately 12 noon, exact times to be confirmed.

As Brick Lane requires payment 12 weeks in advance, the sign-up sheet will go round at the December meeting, with payment due in January.

THREE  RIVERS  TOUR 

WEDNESDAY 4th JUNE   COST APPROXIMATELY £68 (TO BE CONFIRMED)

 

The day starts with a chance to buy morning coffee at a garden centre outside Manningtree where we’ll meet our guide for the day.  We will then follow the River Stour through Manningtree, and then have a scenic ride with magnificent views over the river Orwell bridge.  On to Woodbridge for a Toby Carvery meal, which is included in the price.  You will be able to buy drinks and desserts on the day.  In the afternoon we head to Waldringfield for a 90-minute cruise on an all-weather cruiser on the river Deben.  Tea and cake will be served on board, and there is a bar if you want to round off the day with something stronger.  The day ends back at the quay at 4.45 p.m. for the journey home.

 

Included in the price of the trip is a main Toby Carvery meal, afternoon tea and cake and a Blue Badge Guide.

 

Sign up sheet will be circulated in March, with payment in April.

NOTES

1. Should any outing be oversubscribed we reserve the right to hold a ballot or where possible to run the outing on another day.

2. If you are interested in any of these outings and you will know you will be absent from the lunch when the board is circulated PLEASE let us know in advance and we will put your name down.

3. Friends who are not members of DL or UD are welcome to join us as they have done in the past but if the outing is oversubscribed preference will be given to members and their guests.

4. All descriptions of tours are correct at the time of going to press, but we cannot be held responsible for any alteration, omission, or cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control.
